Course Description:

This is a practical course for real estate agency that covers all facets of the law of agency. It first covers the history of agency law and common law. There are sections that detail the fiduciary responsibilities of an agent and how agencies may be created and terminated. The different types of agency are explained along with the benefits to all parties in the transaction. Buyer agency is explained in detail and how this concept has gained in favor in recent years. Examples of agency disclosure forms are included. It ends with a discussion of the different choices that agents face in how to run their own agency and gives statistics on current trends in the industry.
